Job Details
This role will require you to assist with the safe and free flow of traffic by patrolling on foot and / or mobile controlled parking areas and issuing Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles which are in contravention of the parking restrictions and / or providing drivers with the necessary information in order for them to gain a better understanding of parking by way of a positive message. SEPP strive to deliver a strict but fair enforcement policy with a positive and courteous service; so the role will require you to maintain an assertive but polite and professional approach in order to communicate positively and effectively with the public in an enforcement environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
You will need to have a full understanding of the legislation of the Traffic Management Act 2004 or willing to take part in the relevant training in order to gain this understanding and the recognised parking enforcement qualification. The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and not only patrol specific set zones but also respond to public complaints and requests for assistance in a positive and professional manner. All training, equipment and uniform will be provided.
We are recruiting to a total of four positions, two working within the Borough of Basildon, one working within the district of Rochford and the other working within the district of Brentwood.
