In Kirklees we are at the start of an exciting journey to create a truly intelligence-led Council, to inform and support the delivery of the Kirklees Outcomes. Maximising the value of the Council’s data assets through the development of a modern data architecture and data strategy is key to achieving this ambition and enabling us to work in an efficient and effective way.

Our new Intelligence and Performance Service is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of data, research, consultation, intelligence, performance and data analytics professionals who support and promote intelligence and insight informed decisions across the Council and partners.

We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative individual to take on this new and challenging role responsible for defining the Council’s future data architecture and data strategy.

You will provide strategic leadership and direction and manage a team of data professionals responsible for the technical development and management of the Council’s data architecture.

The successful candidate will have leadership and hands-on technical experience in a data architecture environment within a large and complex organisation in addition to having excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships and networks.

The successful candidate will also have experience and an in-depth knowledge and awareness of modern technological and project management practices.

This role will lead on a wide range of greenfield projects, giving you the opportunity to utilise your experience and skills to truly influence and shape the future data landscape across the Council.
