Join us, as we take the next step in our journey to build a brighter future together.  As Director of Transformation, you will be the driver of the Council’s change programme – “Brighter Futures- Transforming our Council together”.  We have already achieved a great deal, but you will lead an ambitious transformation programme that spans culture, estates and ICT, governance, engagement, customer experience and commercial strategy, taking advantage of established and emerging digital/AI tools.   Key to this will be ensuring the whole organisation works as one to deliver our transformation agenda together with the continuous improvement of all areas of service delivery.

To succeed, you’ll need to work across the Council, develop effective communications, engagement and delivery strategies, and develop an effective corporate Programme Management Office to deliver the transformation programme.  You will also lead the HR service to enable our most valuable resource, our staff, have the skills, support and behaviours to deliver effective service delivery.  In addition, you will ensure that the Council’s shared ICT platforms optimize the operating model and take advantage of changing technologies to deliver efficiencies through agile working across the organisation.

A challenge such as this demands significant experience with a demonstrable record of leading major organisational transformation and cultural change. You will have operated at a senior level, spearheading transformation programmes featuring innovative thinking and creativity, while motivating teams and services to achieve results and improvements. Exceptional communication and leadership skills will help you to meet your aims, ensuring you connect successfully with a range of audiences.
