Casual Country Park Assistant
Do you enjoy working with people? Are you enthusiastic about nature conservation and countryside land management?
You will have the opportunity to work in our amazing Country Park welcoming almost 200,000 visitors annually. The role is varied and can include running workshops and birthday parties, working with our group of dedicated volunteers to complete tasks around the park and working as part of the larger Oakwell team to successfully deliver large-scale events.
There’s also the less glamorous aspects such as emptying bins, but all of the duties work together to keep Oakwell as an inviting and safe environment for our visitors.
Although hours aren’t guaranteed, you can work flexibly, and do not have to commit to specific days. You will need to be an effective communicator and will preferably have previous experience of countryside tasks and working with volunteers and community groups.
An enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check will be required for this job. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
