Set in the beautiful surroundings of the South Pennines in West Yorkshire, Calderdale is a vibrant metropolitan borough, and an active part of Leeds City Region, focused around strong market towns with amazing heritage assets and resilient communities. We are developing a new vision for 2024 for when we reach our 50^th birthday as a local authority – to be the best Borough in the North.

Now our newly appointed Director of Adult’s Health and Wellbeing is looking to build and recruit a talented senior leadership team. The role of Assistant Director will lead, on developing a successful strategy for joint integrated commissioning arrangements that focus on improving outcomes for people, our place and our population.

The role will make a critical contribution to the development  of Calderdale Cares ensuring our  approach  to our  distinctive localities flourishes  and  ensure of  commissioning intentions and investment  support innovation  and  promotes wellbeing.

This role, which reports directly to the Director, will be responsible for leading and managing an effective commissioning function establishing an infrastructure to deliver effective commissioning across Adults and Children’s Social Care, Public Health and the CCG.
