An exciting position has arisen in the Housing Inclusion Service, for a Customer Access Team (CAT) Leader, with the line management responsibility for 5 members of staff. The CAT provides a walk-in duty service at the Woolwich Centre, as well as responding to housing enquiries received by telephone or email.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is empathetic and has the ability to deal sensitively with a range of customers. Whatever your background, you will be skilled in dealing with complex customer situations that require understanding and good communication.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing staffing rotas, monitoring and maintaining service targets and to provide excellent service delivery for current and future service users. You will have a good understanding of housing and homelessness legislation and be able to run an efficient frontline service, which provides advice and information to a diverse range of visitors in housing need.

You will need to be flexible in approach, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have proven IT, organisational and negotiation skills. Essentially, you will need to manage your own workload proficiently and to ensure the efficient management of the service to consistently meet, the corporate and departmental targets.
