Temporary up to May 2020 to cover a project.

You will work as part of the Works Better programme which has been developed in response to a Leeds City Region (LCR) European Structural Investment Fund (ESIF) call for the ‘Local Flexibilities for Reducing Unemployment’ provision. 

Works Better is designed to be inclusive to disadvantaged residents. It will identify and address the barriers faced by all age groups seeking employment, irrespective of background and personal circumstance. Works Better will provide a personalised, holistic service offering a comprehensive and innovative matrix of support activities. This will be combined with an effective referral process to specialist support agencies where necessary.

As a member of an ER Project Team, your primary focus will be to:

  • Support job search activity with and on behalf of participants
  • Provide participants with support throughout recruitment and selection, including
    • completion of application forms
    • development of interview skills
    • acting upon feedback from employers
    • referring to additional support if required
  • Maintain appropriate records as directed in line with data protection requirements.

You will work across Kirklees, responding to participants support needs, and will liaise closely with other members of the project team and partner organisations to communicate intelligence around participants work preferences and suitable job roles. You will work 1-1 with participants as well as in small group sessions.
