The Role

Resourcing and Recruitment Manager

  • Do you have a solid understanding of how we can take our current recruitment and retention practices to the next level?
  • Can you think creatively and not be restrained by ‘staying in the box’?
  • Do you have excellent people management skills that can motivate and develop a high performing team?
  • Can you develop effective relationships to improve the recruitment service offered to our customers?

If so, we would love to hear from you.

We have been working hard over the last year to shape an improved recruitment offer to our managers – we have introduced an award-winning recruitment platform to automate and simplify the recruitment process – allowing us to spend more time working directly with our managers to understand the key challenges within a local authority setting impacting recruitment and retention.

In this role, you will lead on our service improvement and recruitment initiatives, whilst ensuring a robust quality management framework is developed and implemented for the delivery of the service.

The role of the Resourcing and Recruitment Manager is both strategic and process driven and will require an excellent understanding of recruitment methods, applicant tracking systems, recruitment compliance procedures, data analytics and customer service best practices.

You will have proven significant hands-on recruitment and resourcing experience within a complex recruitment environment, and a clear understanding of the candidate experience, labour market influences, advertising, employee branding and onboarding.

You’ll need:

  • Experience of providing innovative best practice and cost-effective attraction and selection strategies and solutions to hiring managers.
  • Experience in motivating, mentoring and empowering colleagues and team members to achieve positive recruitment outcomes.
  • Experience in improving recruitment outcomes consistently.

This is an opportunity to make a real positive difference in an organisation that makes an impact on half a million Londoners every day.

For an informal conversation, please contact Jason Wisniewski, Strategic Resourcing & Talent Acquisition Manager on 020 8871 6197 or email jason.wisniewski@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance.  These include compressed hours, flexible working arrangements and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.

In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops and other establishments. A wide range of developmental opportunities is also offered.
