This year sees the 10th anniversary of Wiltshire Council, the unitary authority whose motto is ‘where everybody matters’. Key to the success of the council has been the delivery of local, open, honest decision-making that has increased our resident’s ability to influence decisions that affect their lives. As Director of Communities & Neighbourhood Services your role will be to continue this by integrating and bringing together the services that are important to our residents.

Building on key initiatives already underway, such as the integration of our library and leisure services, it will be important that our neighbourhood services are also sufficiently flexible enough to meet both the current and future demands. You will need to work closely with other directors to ensure that our community and neighbourhood-based services are aligned so that our residents have greater clarity in relation to the services that are available in their localities.

For this role we need a future focused leader with a proven ability to set a strong direction and maximise cooperation for change and innovation. This is a superb opportunity to be at the heart of one of the most exciting and forward thinking Councils in the country.
