Doncaster Children’s Services Trust has achieved great things since it was established in October 2014.  As well as attaining the overall Ofsted ‘good’ rating for its services in January 2018, we have since had our fostering and adoption services and two children’s homes rated as ‘outstanding’.  But we are not stopping there – our ambition is to get all our services to ‘outstanding’, and we want this to be sooner rather than later.

We are currently looking for a Director for Children’s Social Care who has the skills and experience to maintain the pace of our improvement journey. To do that we need someone who will quickly win the hearts and minds of our workforce and partners as well as the children and young people of Doncaster.  You will need energy, enthusiasm and passion and be a walking example of distributed leadership, whilst still ensuring grip and grit.  As the Trust is now an ALMO our key partnership is with Doncaster Council. You will also be part of the broader ‘team Doncaster’, working across a wide range of agendas to support and enable our communities to become more resilient.

In return, we can offer you the chance to work for an innovative organisation which gets results, and has a positive, can-do and  child focused culture.

Closing date: 28 June; Final interviews: 9 and 10 July 2019
