This job will appeal to you if you like the buzz of a busy team and have a genuine interest in ensuring children and young people experience good quality placements to grow and development in. As a Placement Officer you will be allocated referrals by a Team Manager. You will check referrals for accuracy, balance and completeness for children and young people, from babies to age 17. You will identify in-house and external placements for children in need of accommodation.
You will conduct Quality Assurance/contract compliance visits, complete Quality Assurance paperwork, identify strengths and weaknesses of placements, deal with complaints and/or concerns, keep accurate records and create reports.
We are a small team who support each other through team work.
Requirements for this role:

Excellent communication skills.

Research skills.

Understanding of the needs of children and young people and the challenges they face.

Willingness to develop knowledge of the market, Ofsted requirements and relevant legislation.

Awareness of social work processes in relation to placements.
