The Learning & Enterprise College Bexley is a vibrant; financially secure adult education institution responsible for delivering high quality outcomes for students, residents and employers, while contributing to the strategic objectives laid out in Bexley Council’s corporate priorities for adult learning, employment and wellbeing.   

The college consists of approx. 1000 courses with 13,000 enrolments through 5,000 students. As part of an innovative restructure, we are organising our Curriculum Leadership in order to ensure that it is fit for purpose. As a result, we have a variety of exciting new leadership vacancies available.  

The purpose of this post is to manage the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies, frameworks and procedures across Adult Education provision, to raise standards and ensure outstanding quality of provision. The role involves ensuring that provision remains compliant with external regulatory frameworks, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of quality assurance and improvement procedures, and managing relationships with curriculum staff to promote sharing of best practice and to ensure high standards. 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a firm understanding of the delivery and assessment of learner responsive provision in FE, including how this impacts upon quality improvement processes, and experience of successfully managing the implementation of quality improvement strategies within colleges of further education. For an individual with a proven capacity to work innovatively and independently, to tight timescales, and with a high level of personal and professional integrity, this position represents an excellent opportunity to move into the field of quality assurance and improvement and to gain an insight into managing the quality of FE provision at the College.
