A vacancy has arisen for an Occupational Therapist working within the Craven area.
This is a Full Time post 37 hours per week.
As an Occupational Therapist you will be expected to work within the Independence Team which comprises OT's and Social Workers.
The post holder will work within the Community to undertake Independence assessments and provision of equipment and adaptations.
The role also includes assessments for reablement and creation of reablement plans and reviewing the outcomes.
The work is with vulnerable adults, and older people, assessing their needs and those of their carers.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the importance of dignity and respect in all aspects of the role and will be able to respond quickly to urgent and changing situations to minimise risks to an individual's safety and wellbeing whilst respecting the person's choices.
The successful applicant will work in partnership with other statutory and non-statutory organisations and will be based within a supportive team where regular supervsion is provided.
You will need to undertake assessments which contribute into the Safeguarding process and be both involved and aware of potential safeguarding situations.
Moving and handling risk assessments, advice and reporting is part of the core duties.
A requirement is to maintain clear, concise and timely records on case files in line with Directorate's policy.
The ability to use a computer with confidence is desirable.
A minimum of 2 years post qualification is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
New qualified Occupational Therapists will be considered but provide knowledge of the Care Act is needed. HPC registration is essential.
