Social Worker – Looked After Children
Location: based in Scarborough, with the ability to work from other bases and from home
Salary: £28,221 to £33,136 subject to pay award agreement (there is also the opportunity of a one off recruitment payment for exceptional candidates, with relevant social work experience)

We have a number of exciting opportunities to join a strong performing Looked After Children and Permanence team, covering the East of North Yorkshire, based in Scarborough.
The Looked After Children’s Team is responsible for the wellbeing and progress of looked after children and Permanence Care Planning for Children in the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale area, as well as some children placed outside of the county. You will be responsible for progressing plans for permanence where the child is not going to remain a looked after child e.g. adoption. The team undertakes the majority of care proceedings for the East of the county and uses a Signs of Safety approach to assess and manage risk to children.
