Just like Haringey, this role is bursting with opportunity

Haringey is our home and we are proud of it. As a council, we are ambitious for our borough’s future and for the people who live here. For you, this means a unique role with more scope than most: as Head of HR & Organisational Development, you won’t just shape a service, you’ll shape an organisation, a culture and – you’ll create a Borough that’s bursting with opportunity.

To be a great council for our community, we need to perform at our best. To make sure that happens, we need a highly skilled professional to lead our HR/OD service and wide-ranging, cultural change. It’s a responsibility that has the potential to transform our team, which is why you’ll be working closely with the Chief Executive, the leadership team and our Members. Together, we’ll shape our workforce and our culture through a carefully tailored strategy. You’ll also develop our, policies, employee relations, our HR/OD operating model and challenge us to develop and implement the most effective workforce plan. But above all, you’ll design people strategies that ultimately benefit the people who live and work in Haringey.

It’s a broad and exciting role where you’ll have the chance to tackle complex, wide-scale change. You’ll need the vision and experience of working with multiple stakeholders, including trade unions to lead workforce transformation. You’ll know how to develop excellent HR/OD practice, inspire teams and advise senior leaders confidently. And crucially, you’ll have the energy and dedication to shape a better Borough for all.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact our retained consultants at Penna: Ed Harper on 07540 706 307, Rebecca Rampat on 0203 849 2705 or Julie Towers on 07764 791 736.
