We do things differently here…

This is Salford’s time. Salford is transforming into a modern global city and this is underpinned by our clear vision to create a better and fairer Salford and provide the best quality of life for the people of the City.

We are currently seeking candidates for a key leadership role in the council.   Our Assistant Director for Children’s Social Care will lead all our children’s social care services as well as youth offending and early help.  As a very good service our ambition is to be outstanding! To achieve this we will continue to deliver great practice as well as lead and develop new and innovative ways of working such as our strengthening families model and the Salford version of No Wrong Door.  You will also work across Greater Manchester at the heart of the development of the GM Children’s Plan, developing and leading whole system change.   Candidates will need a social work qualification and a track record in transforming children’s social care services, as well as the drive to ensure our most vulnerable children and young people get the life chances they deserve.

Applicants will need to align with our values, demonstrate our leadership behaviours and take an inclusive, whole system approach to change.    For more information please click the 'apply' button below or contact our advising consultants Luke Judd (0113 205 6077) or Rachel Cox (0113 205 6068).
