About the Role 

We're looking for a motivated Head of Economic Infrastructure to be the driving force behind schemes that will help the Lincolnshire business community to grow and prosper. You'll be responsible for a team of 14, collaborating alongside other teams in order to establish and implement a clear strategy for Council involvement in economic investment projects, then continuing with these projects through delivery and completion. Apply your expertise, decide when it is right for the council to invest and when the council should support businesses in making investments independently.  

It's an incredibly rewarding role that contributes a huge amount to Lincolnshire's economy.  Investing £5m per annum on economic infrastructure schemes that build a platform for businesses to succeed in the county, this is a huge chance to give back to Lincolnshire and play your part in developing and maintaining a thriving economy, whether this is through investment in business centres, regeneration schemes, or tackling utility constraints.  

About You 

We're seeking an innovative and creative thinker, with strong project management skills and great political and business acumen. You'll need a relevant degree with a background in delivering economic infrastructure schemes and be able to present the successful outcomes you've achieved in those roles. This role is well suited to somebody who’s spent a career building a broad network of influential contacts.

This position is all about investing in the county effectively so, you'll need a great strategic mind and be prepared to make influential decisions on a daily basis. Communication across the council is essential in this role, you'll have to demonstrate your ability to lead and manage your team effectively and form strong business relationships across the county and the sector.
