The Academy

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of the team at a brand-new Academy. West Bromwich Collegiate Academy will be opening with 175 students in September 2019. We believe:

We are seeking an experienced ICT Technician to support our technological rich school. Applicants will:

  • Passionate about improving the lives of our students
  • Role model a commitment to excellence

A sound working knowledge and understanding of:

  • Hardware repairs of laptops / tablets
  • Installation of Microsoft Windows on standalone devices and networked PC’s
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2012 basic Active Directory users and permissions
  • Installation of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Setup of computer hardware, software and systems
  • Setup of network printers, installation of software locally & through package allocation
  • Computer troubleshooting from diagnostics to backup of data to upgrade or rebuild
  • Computer viruses and security using Symantec EndPoint
  • Good understanding of Office 365 – Outlook, OneDrive for Business, Exchange and Sharepoint Online
  • Want to collaborate as part of a team
  • Are flexible and adaptable, rising to the challenge of creating a new Academy
  • Have high standards for their team and themselves
