We are looking for a part time (0.6 FTE) qualified Principal Finance Officer to provide financial support to the Highways Operations & Street Scene and Traffic & Engineering divisions.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation – not only would you be providing financial advice and management accounting support to managers in two different local authorities, but also you would be able to use your broader skills to help to improve processes and to develop the self-serve environment.

We are looking for a proactive and customer focused individual who is capable of detailed financial analysis but who can also demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, particularly in relation to both ICT developments and wider continuous improvement.

We are a small friendly team and work in a collaborative way. Formed 2 years ago, we are now looking to make a step change in how we operate and are seeking someone who brings ideas and energy as well as sound technical skills.

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance.  These include flexible hours and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays (pro rata).

In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops, and other establishments. A wide range of developmental opportunities are also offered.

Richmond and Wandsworth are currently reviewing our pay, reward and benefits framework, in partnership with Trade Union colleagues. We are developing different options that make sure we have a fair and transparent system in place.
