Liverpool City Council is one of the most exciting and progressive authorities in the UK.

Against the backdrop of austerity, through innovation, entrepreneurialism and compassion, Liverpool City Council has both protected and empowered its most vulnerable citizens while at the same time helping drive the city forward in its ongoing renaissance.

We are now looking for an exceptional individual to fill the role of Assistant Director, Asset Management within our Finance and Resources Directorate.

With full responsibility for the successful delivery of the Asset Management Division, maximising the asset portfolio, our new Assistant Director will have substantial senior experience of leading asset management services within a comparable organisation.

Playing a lead role in developing the City Council’s asset management strategies and policies, the post holder will have a successful track record in this area.

We expect candidates to have a relevant professional qualification and membership (i.e. Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) and have the ability to engage with and influence a wide range of audiences along with working knowledge of current and emerging asset and facilities management issues.

If you have the ambition, passion, drive and vision to shape the Asset Management agenda for this great city, we look forward to hearing from you.

For a confidential, informal discussion please contact Mel Creighton, Director, Finance and Resources on 0151 233 0355.
