About the role

This is an exciting role in the new Strategy and Engagement function at the heart of the Council, supporting the development and delivery of key corporate strategy and policy. The council has recently launched a new Corporate Plan that sets the vision for the borough and for the council over the next four years and this is a vital role in ensuring the delivery of the key outcomes and priorities of the plan, including sustainability, the climate emergency and air quality. This role is pivotal in developing key strategic partnerships across the borough and ensuring that strategies are turned into actions to get the best outcomes for communities.

About you

We are looking for a candidate with experience and a proven track record of contributing to corporate strategy with strong networking and partnership skills.

Our candidate is someone who can work effectively with key stakeholders including Members, residents, communities, partner organisations and other public services.

They will build networks and relationships with teams across the council, residents, communities and other external partners to develop and deliver coordinated and effective strategic responses. This is a role that offers career progression. You will have the ability to work independently on key projects and priorities and meet milestones to progress to the next grade.
