Support Worker - Sherburn House
Do you enjoy helping people?
Do you want to be a part of something special?
We are working alongside the incredible Wilf Ward Family Trust who are seeking Support Workers for Sherburn House in Knaresborough.
Sherburn House is not your average service; the team has expert knowledge in supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Health Needs and Sherburn was built to provide the ideal environment for delivering outstanding support.
As a Support Worker, every day is truly different. You could be helping someone with their personal care, having a natter in their sensory room and gardens or supporting them to have new experiences and achieve their goals.
You will join a tight-knit, family-like team. But don’t just take our word for it, one staff member has said, "We get lots of support from the management team. There is an open door policy in that we can go talk to them if we have any issues or problems. We have regular supervision and support meetings – about every six to eight weeks. We work well as a team and our views are listened to by the provider."
The Wilf Ward Family Trust passionately and actively promotes its valued staff to follow their career ambitions. They do this by offering a great rewards package, progression pathways including training, support networks, great working environments and paid leave.
They understand that happy staff means a happy home.
We’re open to hearing from anybody who shares our passion for supporting others and believes that everybody deserves respect. You don’t need to have any experience within care as whilst you will face new challenges that will require dedication and hard work, there is full training and support available. Their fantastic, long-standing team of support workers and management team will always be there to support, advise and provide you with cake when needed!
