Are you an administrator looking for variety and interesting work where you can work flexibly?

It’s a key supporting role in the Housing and Regeneration Directorate – our department’s decision making hub. You’ll be kept busy with an interesting range of work predominantly assisting our senior management and carrying out central support tasks for the wider department. It’s a place to make your mark and shine.

You will have:

  • first-rate organisational and administrative skills
  • the ability to work in a busy office whilst paying attention to detail and producing work of consistently high standard
  • good communication skills
  • a strong commitment to customer service and
  • an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.

It would be great if you have experience of diary management, minute taking and dealing with queries from the public; but, equally, we’re happy to train the right person.

We work as a team, we are both positive and hardworking – when you join us, you’ll apply the same approach.

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance. These include flexible working (subject to service needs), such as flexitime and working from home, and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.

In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops, and other establishments. A wide range of developmental opportunities are also offered.

Richmond and Wandsworth are currently reviewing our pay, reward and benefits framework, in partnership with Trade Union colleagues. We are developing different options that make sure we have a fair and transparent system in place.
