The London Borough of Lambeth is looking for a Highway Asset Engineer. The Highways team champion creativity and innovation. We want people that dream of making lives better through engineering solutions.

Do you want to further your knowledge in the Highways Sector? Would you enjoy maintaining structures, street lights and drainage assets? This role involves identifying, designing and constructing changes to highway assets.

Do you have communication and problem solving skills? You could be writing briefs and supervising consultants.

This position also involves:
• providing line management for a Highway Asset Officer (x1)
• monitoring highway asset conditions
• creating an asset risk register
• maintaining databases
• writing risk assessments and method statements
• operating a procurement strategy
• seeking and securing funding opportunities
• processing abnormal load applications

Applicants should have knowledge of highway legislation and design standards. Ideal candidates will have already received AutoCAD training (NVQ Level 3).
