Job Details

We are recruiting a very special person to the Leaving Care Team Leader role to expand on and drive forward our Local Offer to care experienced young people between 16 and 25.

You will have a passion for supporting care experienced young people and high aspirations for their future.

Your excellent knowledge of the Leaving Care legislation, guidance and best practice will enable you to engage with our members, senior managers and corporate parenting board to ensure our care experienced young people have the opportunities and experiences all young people have, available to them.

You will be pivotal in providing a service that is led by the views of care experienced young adults and is flexible in meeting their needs during this time of transition within their lives.

This is an opportunity to use your outstanding management skills to build on a service deemed as good by Ofsted and be creative in making improvements that will directly impact our care leavers and lead to them receiving an outstanding service.

As a team manager we would support you in leading and motivating your team to reach this standard, ensuring communication across all parties in order to implement the statutory duties and responsibilities, by offering leadership training opportunities.

You will be a pro-active analytical thinker, with experience of working within a wide multi-agency and service user led context as well as having a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. You will also need to be strong in creativity, encouraging ideas for service delivery in partnership with young people.
