We need a Traffic Management engineer who also has experience in road safety engineering principles. This role offers great variety with highway improvements in road safety and the technical aspects of traffic management which cut across the majority of the Transport for Warrington and Highway Maintenance services.

Demands on this service area are high in delivering both revenue and capital improvement programmes. The technical input required by other services is significant and is increasing as a direct result of the council’s capital investment in regeneration and growth, and also the increase in development in Warrington.

As well as leading on a range of traffic, parking and road safety projects you will enhance your skills in traffic signs and road markings design, progressing Traffic Regulation Orders, public consultation and experience of undertaking safety audits. Being able to work with minimum supervision and in a multi-disciplinary environment are key requirements.

A relevant qualification is desirable and experience in road safety engineering is essential.
