The Royal Borough of Greenwich Youth Offending Service are look to recruit dynamic leaders who demonstrate a strong commitment to improving outcomes for adolescents and their families. We have 3 roles to fill, 2 Group Leader roles 1 providing strong operational leadership across our systemic casework teams and the other focusing on our varied commissioned services and embedded Restorative Practice hub and group work. We are also looking for a Team Leader with experience in systemic practice and leading staff.

These are a central pillar in our goal to continue to be a child centred service focusing on practice and creating a difference to the lives of the children and families we come into contact with. You will lead a well trained work force in implementing systemic practice. You will be compassionate to the experiences of the children we engage and the impact of the work on the staff. You will have a commitment to continuous improvement never settling for the status quo, able to demonstrate impact.

You will need to be strong communicators able to share your ideas with senior managers, front line staff and stakeholders. In return you will work with a creative leadership team demonstrating the values of integrity and compassion. Your development will be a priority and your creativity supported and nurtured. You will have the opportunity to work across the council with other partners developing new initiatives and collaborative ways of working. You will be part of the wider Children Social Care Leadership able to influence and make a difference to the children of Greenwich and those at risk of being involved in the Criminal Justice System.

You will be a registered qualified Social Worker. You will have a commitment to practice and a drive and enthusiasm to lead and develop. You know that your small team of practitioners can make a difference and are able to support your team in systemic practice keeping the child at the heart of the work. This is a role which is critical in helping to deliver high quality practice and excellent outcomes for children and families. You have a real understanding of how to assess, manage, improve emotional resilience and keep children and the wider community safe.
