1 x 3 year fixed term/secondment, full time, 36 hours per week

We’re seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Project Manager to lead, shape and steer a professional engineering service.  In this role you will supervise and be accountable for the three year LED project that will deliver Camden’s Street Lighting columns over to 100% LED.

The post-holder will undertake the role of Project Manager for large, complex and multi -disciplined projects including consultation, programming, planning and co-ordination with the responsibility to follow the councils systems for the implementation of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations within the service.

You will work closely with contract managers to agree site driven design amendments and ensure that these are documented and recorded. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and managing the program from inception to delivery of LB Camden’s Street lighting LED replacement project. You will need to ensure compliance is in accordance with the LB Camden’s agreed standards.

This is a great role for the right individual.

The post-holder will hold a qualification in Engineering with successful high quality post qualification experience, and will also have a membership of a recognised professional institution in at least one of the disciplines within the service. You should also have a G39 Certification.

Your background should demonstrate proven knowledge of all British and European Lighting Standards and a good understanding of recommendations and guidance within the Street Lighting industry.

Knowledge of Specification for Highway Works (SHW), working knowledge of Lighting Reality and subsidiary programmes and 17TH Edition IEE Wiring regulations is also required.

With a proven track record in stakeholder management, you will possess strong verbal and communication skills - working effectively with a range of professionals.

To succeed, you will bring experience in contract management and an understanding of the principal responsibilities of, and the key issues facing, local government, in particular the legal and professional framework associated with Engineering and Traffic matters inclusive of the latest requirements under CDM.
