Job Details
Telford & Wrekin Council are looking for an enthusiastic highly motivated theatre technician with experience of both theatrical sound and lighting systems. The Place Telford is Telford's largest live entertainment venue hosing over 200 shows a year including comedy, live music, children's shows, dance, special interest, musicals and family pantomimes. This mid scale venue offers versatile accommodation including auditorium, dance style and standing layouts as well as offering celebrations, conferences and large meetiings
Required to work Evenings & Weekends for shows & events.
As part of the theatre technical team to provide technical assistance on a range of events and activities at The Place To design and operate lighting and sound for all events that require our in house technical team. To prepare and maintain the theatre for events, which includes stage lighting, stage sound, rigging, electrical equipment maintenance and repair, room set-ups and theatre maintenance.
Required to work mainly evenings and weekends,Requires a wide range of knowledge and skills to run complex technical service area including all aspects of light and sound operation. Required to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.Requires the ability to work under pressure.Ability to problem solve whilst undertaking a range of duties.
2 years experience of working within a theatre environment.Knowledge of both sound and lighting equipment.
