Newly Qualified Social Worker & Level 1 Social Worker
Royal Borough of Greenwich Health and Adult Services have recently reorganised services to improve the customer experience and are now able to advertise vacancies for Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW) or Level 1 Social Workers across the service.
These are our entry level roles, and depending on your level of experience you will be offered a NQSW position (allowing you to undertake our Assessed and Supported Year (ASYE) programme), or as a Level 1 Social Worker role. Following successful completion of the ASYE programme our NQSW become Level 1 Social Workers.
Health and Adult services are particularly proud of their excellent ASYE programme. It is designed to help NQSWs develop their skills, knowledge and capability, and strengthen their professional confidence. It provides access to regular and focused support during the first year of employment in social work.
You will benefit from excellent support from a manager and a mentor. In addition to this, Greenwich are commissioning an external consultant to lead teaching and support workshops alongside robust external moderation to ensure high standards of practice.
The ASYE programme offers:
Regular reflective supervision
Workload management: 90% of an experienced social workers workload
Professional development plan
Protected development time (10%)
Professional Educator support
A number of support workshops will take place over the year. These workshops will have an action learning format so that NQSWs can work on live issues. The workshops will also assist with preparation for completion of the evidence folder by providing support and reflection on experience and learning in relation to the PCF framework
