Job Details
The Telford & Wrekin Integrated Gardening Service (TWIGS) is a service that provides personalised support to our customers, enabling them to achieve personal objectives to maximise independence, choice, wellbeing and community involvement through the provision of a valuable and valued gardening service to vulnerable households across the borough.
In this exciting and rewarding role, you will work with the Service Leader – Skills & Enterprise Hub to develop the TWIGS service, including the acquisition of new customers and working in partnership with external organisations.
You will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable adults, with experience of providing a gardening service including the safe use and maintenance of powered gardening equipment, and with the ability to undertake the associated heavy gardening work, often involving heavy machinery. You will also be required to drive the TWIGS van on a daily basis.
My Options - Activity Wellbeing and Care Services is part of Telford & Wrekin Council and provides a wide range of person-centred support to over 350 people to vulnerable people of all ages and abilities.
We currently provide a wide range of services including; Community Activity and Wellbeing, services, residential options, community support for those people living in their own or shared accommodation and Young People’s Services offering a range of support and activities to children and young people. Our services also include a very successful Shared Lives Scheme and The Skills and Enterprise Hub, where people can develop their skills and confidence as part of their stepping stone to work.
