We are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to help our local economy to grow, support local business development and create well paid jobs for our residents. As an Economic Development Officer you’ll be working with some of our largest employers to help create new jobs and improve prosperity for our residents.

We’re looking for someone who wants to develop their skill set, bringing innovation and creativity to our Inward Investment Team’s business support services. This role will see you helping to make South Holland a premier location for business investment in the UK. You’ll be helping businesses to unlock more of their potential whilst supporting initiatives that protect the environment and reduce waste across sectors.

This exciting new opportunity will see you joining our experienced Inward Investment team helping them to maximise the growth potential of our local businesses. You will need a good eye for analysing and interpreting data, along with enthusiasm and imagination. You will also be involved in the running of our capital grants programme, Grants4growth, working with small and medium sized businesses across Greater Lincolnshire.

This role offers you an exciting opportunity to gain experience in this varied and interesting subject, helping to make the district a better place to live and work for future generations. You will be accountable to the Inward Investment Manager, working within the wider team, which includes Grants4growth, and also be expected to work collaboratively across Council services and external partners to promote business expansion and investment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to build a career within Local Government, with a view to undertaking a more senior role as the opportunity arises.
