Council Tax Officer

Job Grade: 3-4 (Starting salary Grade 3, £16,763 - £18,946, with progression to Grade 4 (£18,946 - £22,159) following full training and experience in the role.

Location: Choice of Manby or Spalding (Lincolnshire), (Please note all training will take place in Manby)

Contract: Full time, 37 hours per week.  Permanent.

We are looking for a Council Tax Officer to join our Revenues and Benefits service.  

Since 2010, Public Sector Partnership Services has been delivering services for East Lindsey and South Holland District Councils, and, having just secured another 10 year contract, we are looking to recruit into this busy service as we move into a period of transformation.

The Position

As a Council Tax Officer, you will work as part of a team responsible for maintaining accurate Council Tax accounts, and ensuring timely billing, collection and recovery, in turn maximising revenue collection for our client Councils. 

Whilst experience would be beneficial, this is not essential as full training will be provided.  Candidates should note that whilst there is a choice of Manby or Spalding as a work base location, all training will take place at Manby.  

About You

If you are able to work accurately, as part of a team, and are looking to join a busy office work environment, then this might be the role for you.  You must be confident in the use of computer systems, and have good keyboard skills.  The ability to interpret information, with attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with high standards of customer care.  Above all, you must be enthusiastic, with a keen desire to learn and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
