An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Handler with the ability to assess and manage insurance claims dealing with a variety of claims covering the wide range of services offered by a London Local Authority; such as property damage, personal injury, employers liability and leaseholder insurance.

We operate a self-insurance fund and reporting to the Insurance & Risk Manager your role will involve the end to end management of a portfolio of claims ensuring you determine liability, advising claimants and their legal representatives of your decision, developing and implementing creative solutions including conducting site visits and interviewing claimants, following legislation and local authority policy and establishing and maintaining relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

We are looking for two indivduals with a strong understanding of insurance and risk management within a Local Authority environment.

Please note applicants from a private sector background are welcome but you will need to demonstrate the relevant knowledge and understanding of local government insurance and risk management.
