This is an exciting role within the Housing Management and Leaseholder services, where you will be the first point of contact for complex leaseholder queries. This is an interesting opportunity to work and learn about an important area of leasehold management.

Working in the Leasehold Team and associated roles in the Assignment and Admin team; you will be responsible for managing leasehold alteration requests, amendments to leases, lease extensions, collective enfranchisement claims and voluntary freehold sales and implement the councils policies regarding the above.

Externally to the Council, you will be an additional point of contact on issues relating to the Leasehold Management policies and liaise as appropriate with stakeholders including central government, other local authorities, the courts and tribunals and professional bodies, representing the council’s interests and ensuring, that the Council’s position is reflected in pertinent legislation or best practise guides.

About you

The successful candidate will enjoy working with new people and be able to build a rapport.

You will bring strong administration and communication skills as you will liaise with multiple stakeholders such as; leaseholders, Councillors, Solicitors, external agencies, MPs, and across various teams and departments within Camden Council. Therefore, you should be a confident communicator, both in person and via email, and have excellent liaison skills.

The ability to prioritise your workload effectively – when faced with changing circumstances and in particular the ability to apply attention to statutory deadlines is required. You should be able to work independently and as part of a small team.

You will have the ability to understand and interpret complex financial data, demonstrating strong attention to detail and have an analytical approach. You will bring knowledge of leases and associated documents with an ability to read a lease plan. Knowledge of lease extensions and freehold claims would be an advantage, but ideally we are looking for someone with the right skills set to provide an excellent service for our customers.
