An Occupational Therapist is required for 6 months to work across Scarborough/Whitby/Ryedale area. This is a full or part time post. Base can be in either Whitby, Scarborough or Malton.
As an OT you will be expected to work within an Independence Team which comprises of both OT's and Social Workers.
The post holder will be working within the Community to undertake assessments and provide equipment, telecare and adaptations through the Disabled Facilities Grant process.
The work is with vulnerable adults and older people, accessing their needs and those of their carers. The OT will work in partnership with other statutory and non-statutory organisations and will be based within a busy, but friendly and supportive team. Moving and handling risk assessments, advice and reports within both the care home and private home settings is part of the core duties. The ability to use a computer with confidence is desirable as all records are recorded onto an IT system.
A minimum of 2 years post qualification is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided. HCPC registration is essential. To obtain further information please contact Nicola Warner on 01609 534658.
