Are you a PMO Manager looking for a more strategic and challenging role?

Do you want to make a big impact in a place where your work will make a real difference?

The Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames has the role for you. We’re recruiting a highly driven Enterprise PMO Manager to join our Transformation Hub. You’ll join an emerging team, that will drive change across the borough. Setting out on an exciting journey, you’ll have the chance to shape your role and really make your mark.

The Role

In this vital role, you’ll act as the Council’s lead programme management professional. You’ll have responsibility for the development and innovation of the project and programme management framework, including training and support. We’ll look to you to work with programme leads to unblock issues and to facilitate access to required corporate resources.

You’ll bring value to the Council by implementing robust programme assurance, identifying opportunities for improvement and support, and collaborating with partners to prioritise and implement improvement initiatives.  You’ll use your track record of delivering projects, programmes and benefits realisation to ensure outcomes are delivered on time and in full.

You’ll be an expert problem solver, able to apply your skills in complex situations.

Above all, you’ll need to be curious, creative and solution focussed. We’re looking to build sector leaders, people who really want to transform the way we do things.

We’re excited to be building a new team and will be investing in your development with a purposely commissioned team development programme designed to support you to rapidly and collectively move to high performance.

We’ll focus on building your individual skills, as well as the way you work as a group. This will include a range of workshops, 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring, team activities as well as utilising psychometric and dynamic learning tools. Our programme focuses on accelerated development, shaping our Corporate Transformation Hub to create a team ready to deliver and provide the support and challenge the organisation needs to succeed.

As well as supporting your growth and training, we operate a fully flexible policy with work from home options and flexible hours to help give you a healthy work life balance.

About Us

At Kingston, we’re not just looking for people who try to do things differently, but those who are willing to try different things. To tackle the biggest obstacles in local government, we need people who aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo.

We want to move away from a focus on traditional savings and cuts, to explore new approaches and innovation, that support us to deliver better outcomes for our residents & communities and build a truly sustainable council.

Joining our Transformation Hub offers you the chance to take the next step-up in your career. If you’re looking for a challenging role where your work will have public visibility and impact, we want to hear from you.

Please note, we do not accept CVs submitted without a fully completed online application form.
