This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the lives of Children and Young People in Camden.
We are recruiting a Strategic Commissioning Manager to join the Children’s Integrated Commissioning team within the Supporting People Directorate. The role will involve strategic commissioning across a diverse portfolio including Children’s Universal and Targeted Health and Wellbeing Services (such as school nursing, health visiting, parent support services, looked after children’s health services and supporting public health priorities for children e.g. asthma). The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting challenging targets on multiple projects and service integration across the Local Authority, CCG and commissioned providers.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge of strategy development and outcomes based commissioning for children and families. They will have the ability to lead and take ownership for complex multiagency areas of work and be confident in working to national targets and standards. They will demonstrate adaptable skills, knowledge, and commitment as required to meet the demands of the key accountabilities.
We require a candidate who is skilled at communicating highly complex information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a way that builds understanding and support across health, education and social care. You will also need to possess excellent negotiation, project management and IT skills and have an adaptable and resilient personality that thrives under pressure and are able to go the extra mile to achieve outstanding results.
