We are currently recruiting to an exciting new role of Day Centre and Transport Manager, a key role which will oversee, promote and develop our three highly-regarded Richmond day care and transport services for older people with a diagnosis of dementia and adults with physical disability and/or sensory loss.

You will be responsible for effective management of our three Day Centres, including ensuring effective operation of transport services for clients.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to take an innovative and creative approach to work and service development.
  • A commitment to lead and motivate a team which will deliver a service that maximises the strengths and wellbeing of its users as well as support their carers.
  • A strategic thinker with an eye for detail; seeking every opportunity to improve the quality of services and make them more efficient.
  • Experience of managing and motivating staff including performance management and staff development to deliver high quality results.

Your responsibilities as the Day Centre and Transport Manager*:

  • Leading the service through a significant period of change whilst ensuring performance is maintained. 
  • Quality assurance and service improvement. 
  • Identifying and contributing to staff training and development. 
  • Managing, monitoring and ensuring the effective delivery of the service. 
  • Motivational leadership of staff promoting a positive working environment with the primary aim of delivering high quality services. 

*The post will involve occasional emergency cover for drivers, so the postholder will need to hold a valid, clean D1 licence or CPC Certificate, or be willing to take the CPC driving test.
