The Role

Wandsworth’s housing management division has a well-earned reputation for high quality and innovative services efficiently provided to our tenants and leaseholders by a dedicated team of staff. A number of opportunities have arisen within the central, eastern and southern teams, based at 90, Putney Bridge Road, SW18 1HR.

You do not need direct experience of estate management but you should have an interest in social housing and the ability to work within a busy team.  As the front-line manager of up to 1100 properties, you will be the main point of contact between your residents and the council. You will need to demonstrate that you can prioritise a heavy workload and develop constructive relationships with residents.

If you have the qualities and experience required together with an understanding of the council's equal opportunities policy and a firm commitment to the principles of customer care, then this is an ideal opportunity for you.

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance. These include a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.

In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops and other establishments. A wide range of developmental opportunities is also offered.
