We are looking for someone with energy and enthusiasm to help our team achieve the best health outcomes for the residents of Richmond and Wandsworth. Your support and guidance will help keep us on track as we juggle multiple projects and commitments.

We are looking for someone with exceptional administrative, financial and project management skills, and an eye for detail. We are a welcoming team and we are keen to learn from you so that we may improve our skills too.

Our team covers programmes relating to children and young people, mental health, regeneration, knife crime, substance misuse, sexual health and health protection. Within this role you will pick up public health skills related to these areas, and a wide range of developmental opportunities is offered that only a large organisation can provide.

Please see the job profile for a full list of requirements. In summary you would be responsible for:

  • Providing office support to the Consultant in Public Health and the team, to ensure the smooth running of the department, including dealing with enquiries and any other activities required within the service.
  • Coordinating a range of administrative functions including diary management, minute taking, information dissemination, information collection, coordination of filing systems, the management of invoices and other related financial duties.

You will need to have experience supporting programmes and projects, including data handling, data filing, team organisation and coordination. You will also need to be confident in financial administration including budget and invoice management.

You will embrace diversity and be able to work and influence people from all walks of life.

We can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance. These include compressed hours, home working (dependent on service need) and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.

In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops and other establishments.

To arrange for an informal discussion about the role, please contact Damilola Gbadebo on 020 8734 3454 or email: Damilola.Gbadebo@RichmondandWandsworth.gov.uk
