Are you passionate about history, culture and the care of museum collections?

Kirklees Council launched our ten-year vision for Huddersfield Town Centre in July this year, with one of the main focuses being to create a new ‘Cultural Heart’ of the town.

The purpose of Museums and Galleries is to share amazing stories of past and present to bring history to life and inspire the future. We are looking for a special person to come and help us prepare to obtain our Arts Council England Museums Accreditation in August 2020. This will require a major focus on curatorial development and improvement work. Our last Accreditation assessment was in 2014 and we know what our targets are. If you have experience of documenting museum collections and a good working knowledge of MODES database software we would like to meet you!

If you would like to talk to someone about this vacancy please feel free to call Danny Sheehan, the Recruiting Manager, on 07528-252088 or email danny.sheehan@kirklees.gov.uk
