Market Licensing and Business Support Officer
This is an opportunity to work within Camden’s Market Service on a fixed term contract until September 2020. This role is an integral part of the success of Camden’s growth plans.
This is a varied role where you will be providing front line comprehensive specialist technical support to the Market Service to enable the Service to licence, develop and promote street trading. The role will also entail managing and reviewing market systems processes to ensure they are up to date and compliant with data protection and financial regulations.
As Market Licensing and Business Support Officer you will also be responsible for the allocation of temporary, regeneration and temporary variation licences to waiting applicants and also working closely with Market Development Officer and Retail Market Officer in the planning and layout of markets.
We are looking for an energetic and confident individual that is comfortable providing a front line service. You must have exceptional communication skills and be able to build an excellent rapport with various groups as you will be required to provide advice, guidance and support to traders, Councillors, resident groups, community and partners and delivering effective licensing and business support service.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of working within a busy front facing service with excellent customer service skills. You will need to be able to deal effectively with difficult situations and customers.
You must be willing to undertake duties to work occasional evenings and weekends.
