Senior Council Tax Officer
Full-time, working for the Leicestershire Revenues and Benefits Partnership based in Hinckley
Band E, salary £25,295 - £28,785 per annum
Here's your opportunity to be part of the exciting Leicestershire Revenues and Benefits Partnership. The Partnership is comprised of the revenues and benefits departments from Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, North West Leicestershire District Council and Harborough District Council.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Council Tax Team within the revenues and benefits shared service based in Hinckley. Subject to certain conditions being met, this exciting role offers varied and interesting work for the successful candidate, as well as the potential to work flexibly from home for part of each week. This is a full time, permanent position working 36.25 hours a week.
The successful candidate must have an in-depth understanding of council tax legislation and its administration processes. The role performs a number of key activities to ensure effective billing and debt recovery for council tax and housing benefit overpayments and much more.
You must be able to work quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy, be able to use a range of IT software systems including Microsoft Office suite or equivalent. You must be also be able to work in a paperless office, have a flexible approach to your work and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position is subject to a basic DBS check.
