The Post 

This particular post will focus on assisting single people and childless couples who are threatened with homelessness or are homeless. 

This is a front line role where the primary focus is to prevent homelessness by helping customers retain their current accommodation. Where this cannot be achieved, you will provide access to a range of suitable alternative housing options fulfilling the Council's statutory obligations as set out in the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

You will manage a caseload and work with various agencies as appropriate to help customers achieve their goals. 

The Person

You must be able to demonstrate good problem solving skills, good knowledge of a range of housing options as well as good knowledge and understanding of Homelessness legislation and case law coupled with hands-on experience of making statutory decisions. 

A people focussed person, you will be passionate about good customer service and take pride in delivering an excellent service. You need to be able to work proactively, be highly motivated, ambitious and ready for a new challenge.
