As a Redbridge Enforcement Officer, you will be tasked with undertaking a multi-disciplined range of enforcement and regulatory activity including, commercial waste, anti-social behaviour and environmental offences such as fly-tipping and littering.

The key responsibilities include:

Use a range of preventative, problem solving and enforcement methods to tackle issues identified and will be required to go out on high visibility patrols. You will undertake a range of intervention tasks aimed at creating a cleaner, safer and healthier environment for the residents of Redbridge.

Be expected to prevent breaches of both the criminal and civil law, which may lead to providing evidence at Court. A crucial element of this post will be close liaison with the Community, elected Members, Police and a multitude of internal and external partners.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience of investigating and managing a caseload working in a multi-agency environment. You must possess enhanced standards of integrity, support for common team objectives and be able to demonstrate good judgement in challenging situations. The nature of the role and the unpredictability of offending patterns will require a flexible and adaptable approach to work and problem solving.

A full UK manual driving licence is essential, you are also required to undergo an internal driving assessment before using any of the Council's fleet.
