We are looking for a Group Manager to join North Yorkshire County Council to play a key role in delivering our No Wrong Door Programme.  Representing North Yorkshire County Council, you will directly work with a range of other local authorities to support them to develop and implement their own No Wrong Door model. 

Each local authority who will ‘adapt and adopt’ the model will have their own case for change as to why it is appropriate for their context.  Their specific operating model will flex to accommodate local needs, but retain a commitment to the values and principles of the initiative, which is essential in providing a solid foundation. You will work to establish conditions for success, and support development and delivery of a bespoke implementation plan and provide ongoing support to enable them to deliver the key elements of the model, which meets the required North Yorkshire County Council and Department of Education key quality assurance criteria.

As Group Manager, you will form part of, and be fully supported by, a strong central delivery team who have been specifically formed to support The Strengthening Families Protecting Children Programme (SFPC) on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council.

To support our next steps we are looking for people who have:

• Good knowledge of the residential sector

• A registered Social Worker qualification or equivalent

• Exceptional leadership skills and the confidence to take people along with you

• The ability to work alongside, and be a role model to other organisations

• Strong communication, negotiating and influencing skills

• The ability to plan for and effectively implement change

• Flexibility in working location and be able to travel.

The role will include working across a range of geographical locations which may include, Norfolk, Leicester, Warrington or Rochdale, but homeworking and direct working within the relevant Local Authorities is available.  As the successful candidate will be an North Yorkshire County Council employee, you will also be required to travel to North Yorkshire for training and meetings as required.
