The Post

We are looking for an experienced social worker to join our Learning Disability service based at The Kingswood Centre, rated Outstanding by CQC. The Brent Integrated Learning Disabilities, are committed to supporting adults to achieve their potential and you can play your part. We are looking for an experienced social worker who will hold complex cases, who will build strong relationships with the local community to support adults to live fulfilling lives and achieve their aspirations.

You will also be directly responsible for the delivery of statutory duties commensurate with supporting people within Adult Social Care. You will discharge these duties in a manner that sees residents at the centre of their care and support, along with, demonstrating behaviours that results in delivery of compassionate, caring, responsive, and proportionate care and support that is of high quality and evidence best value.

You will work with residents and their carer's to develop creative support plans which are outcome focused and integrate positive risk taking. 

The Person

You will hold a Social Work qualification, be passionate about serving our residents, and have excellent communication skills and the creativity to find solutions that deliver excellent services our residents deserve. You will have substantial experience working with people with Learning Disabilities.
 
This role would suit someone who has a passion for ensuring the delivery of high quality services and who enjoys managing and supporting people to achieve their potential. This role would suit an individual who is committed to improving the services for people with learning disabilities.
 
You will work in partnership with the management team to deliver on national and local performance framework. Ideally you will have experience in working with complex, multi-disciplinary cases involving mental health, voluntary organisations, forensic and NHS/CCG partners.
 
We are looking for professionals who can build positive relationships at a number of levels and can bring enthusiasm, creativity and passion to the service. Can you meet the challenge of providing professional support and on-going development of social care practice in the learning disability team?
Applicants need to be qualified Social Workers, registered with the HCPC ideally with experience of working within the new models of care, transforming care and have sound legal literacy to enable them to work with complex cases.
