We are looking for a Project Lead - Housing Growth to join our strategic team to lead the delivery of an exciting housing programme that will help to change the way in which housing is provided across the area. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of master plans for key housing sites, develop and identify how new forms of construction can help to meet future housing needs such as modular and low carbon buildings and influence housing delivery partners to ensure better design and the creation of housing that creates a sense of place and community. 

This is a challenging but very rewarding role as no two days are the same, you will also have the opportunity to mould and develop a housing strategy team. The position enables you to work from home with the expectation of working in York office at least once a week. 

To be successful you must:

  • hold a relevant degree or equivalent level qualification.
  • have a proven track record of practical project management.
  • have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • have successfully delivered strategic housing or planning related projects.
  • be able to use creativity and innovation to generate solutions for difficult issues.
