Planning Enforcement Officer – Part time
As a result of the significant planning agenda in Greenwich and thereby its high number of planning applications, the work of the appeals and enforcement team is extensive.
The Borough has recently introduced an Article IV direction in respect of the conversion of properties into HMO’s and this has given the need for a dedicated officer to address the planning enforcement implications that have arisen.
You will be responsible for undertaking enforcement functions in conjunction with other internal agencies of the Council to tackle unauthorised conversions in the Borough. We seek an experienced officer conversant with legal processes and used to appearing in court, public inquiries and dealing with the general public.
Grade: SO1- PO2 (pro-rota)
Employment Term: Permanent
Hours: 16.5-22.5 hours per week
